With reference to my telegram No. 84 of the 17th instant, I have the honour to inform you that a settlement with regard to this question has been arrived at. An arrangement will be sigued here in a few days' time between the Japanese Minister and the Inspector-General of the Customs.

I have repeated this to His Majesty's Embassy at Tôkið.
